There are many beautiful towns and villages found scattered all over the Pelion peninsula. One of the most famous is that of Tsagarada, which actually consists of 4 smaller townd of Agia Kiriaki, Agio Stefano, Agia Paraskevi and Agioi Taxiarhes. Together, they form Tsagarada - a place of immense natural beauty, where you can enjoy rewarding holidays and travel throughout the year.
During the hot summer months you can enjoy the wonderful beaches along the coast and dive into the cool blue waters of the Aegean sea. Some of the most popular beaches in and around Tsagarada include the beaches of Milopotamos and Fakistras. There are many other beaches - some secluded - that you can find if you travel along the coast.
One of the "famous spots" in Tsagarada is the famous square of Agia Paraskevi where you will see the huge plain tree that dates more than a thousand years old. This enourmous tree has a diameter of more than 14 meters, and needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. You can enjoy a coffee or snack in the square, and enjoy the views stretching out into the horizon.
Tsagarada is perfect for those who enjoy nature and walking. You can take some lovely walks around the village, passing by beautiful old churches and houses, colourful gardens, spring fountains and many more wonderful sights that will be a treat for the eyes.
The village is one that is well catered for tourism, and has a nice selection of cafe bars and tavernas where you can enjoy a drink or tasty homecooked meal. Tourism has not altered the landscape of Tsagarada, and taking a walk around the village will feel as though you have stepped back in time.
From Tsagarada it is very easy to visit some of the other neighbourings villages and towns. There are so many beautiful places to visit and explore in Pelion that you will find yourself coming back time and time again to enjoy what can easily be described as one of the most unique and picturesque parts of Greece.
